Ply on the fly

There should be a huge post coming up, since my mother and in-laws just left and Sheep & Wool has gone for another year, but here's a quick one. I think my (crafting) life has just completely changed because of this:

Ply on the fly.

[Okay, so I might be a huge dork. But if you're reading this, you probably knew that already.]

And the epiphany might not be entirely due to plying on the fly. I think the real Big Deal might be my gorgeous new Bossie. So perfectly balanced it's incredible.

Either way, I no longer dread plying. And I think my sweater knitting might be on the backburner for awhile!

Thank you for that link! I currently have two Bosworth spindles, and I'm afraid it will only get worse from here. ;) They do spin like a dream, though. Spent a few good hours last night with mine, but this ply on the fly thing opens up a whole new dimension...

Miss you Em! It's funny how our interests are basically identical (horses, gardening, knitting, reading) and yet we never get to see each other or do any of those things together. I'm so impressed with your spinning! I've been wearing my green hat (the cabled one) lots and thinking of you. It was a bit to small before and my hair is so silky that it has no grip, but now that it's short I get to wear it and love it! Anywho.. love reading your blog.
