Pollen

It's that time of year. The time for itchy, watery eyes.. runny noses.. clogged up heads... Ugh. Pollen!

But someone sure likes it!

This year, it's effect on her was catnip-like. She couldn't get enough of it. My little honey bee.

If you click on this picture, you can sort of see the yellow haze on her coat...

Maybe it's just the season, but the colors in my latest spinning project are very Pollen. (Though when I began to ply it, parts definitely reminded me of chocolate covered bananas. Hmm.) The fiber is 4+ oz. of Finn wool from CosyMakes, purchased for me by my awesome hubby at the Homespun Yarn Party.

This was really easy to spin, though I'm still nowhere near consistent. At least the colors are pretty! :) (It's more yellow than the first photo below, but less yellow than the second.) Very squishy, very soft. I wish I had more of it!

This upcoming week is going to be an exciting one. My mom, and Ryan's mom and sister are coming up for a visit. *And* it's Sheep & Wool! We have lots of other stuff planned too.. I can't wait to get started!

Oh my, your spinning is fabulous. I think I will send you fibre rather than spun! Have a great time with the 'moms' and don't go too crazy with the fibre purchases!!

The yarn you brought in for show and tell Tuesday was beautiful. I do not know much about spinning, but I think you did a great job.
